1. Imagine the winter season 09 is full on. Describe a normal day in your snowboarding life.
When I’m at home I wake up from the noise of the avalanche explosion of the Seegrube. After a good breakfast I jump into my snowboard gear and go by feet to the gondola. Then I just enjoy riding the great powder possibilities on an actually small mountain…
2. Who has influenced your riding (when you picked up snowboarding) the most and why?
I guess my friends I’m riding with. Back in the days it was my boyfriend who showed me riding pipe and backcountry. Now my shred buddies are most of the time Lisa, Silvi, Aline, Julia and Peda. A good, relaxed atmosphere while snowboarding pushes me a lot!
3. Riding with headphones – love it or hate it? Why?
I normally don’t ride with headphone because I love and need the sound of the snow while riding… if so just with low volume and not seeable. I don’t have the gangsta steez…
4. What’s the next big thing after Double Cork 1080ies?
Haven’t you seen me doing the most awesome trick called “macky mute”. It’s kind of an at least triple frontflip in podwer. Watch out!
5. What does creativity regarding snowboarding mean to you?
Playing with your board under any conditions.
6. What do you miss the most when being on the road for a while?
My friends in case they are not traveling with me, my own bed and a good bakery (when I’m in US).
7. How to you relax and refuel yourself after a long day of riding?
Having a shower, good healthy food and then just go to sleep. You should know I love to eat & sleep!!
8. Name your personal top three
a. Backcountry spots: “Paradidissima”, “Little Alaska” & “Hoettinger Au”
b. Snow parks: Vans Penkenpark (Mayrhofen), Northstar, Alpine Meadows
c. Snowboard contests: there is only one that really takes care of female riders and that’s the Chicken Jam. “Check the Ripper” at Seegrube is a funny format that combines speed and freestyle.
9. Describe your “best” and “worst” day in your life.
Birth & death
10. Season is off…what are you up to?
