1. Imagine the winter season 09 is full on. Describe a normal day in your snowboarding life.
The good and exciting thing about snowboarding is also that there is no normal day. It depends were I am and if I am just riding with friends or I am shooting or filming and if it is a powder day, where you normally get up real early, or if you go in a park where it is icy in the morning, so you start a little later. But normally get up early, eat some cereals, drink tea and head off to the mountain. Go riding and then come back and make a good meal, some stretching.
2. Who has influenced your riding (when you picked up snowboarding) the most and why?
I started snowboarding with my sister Sabrina. So she was my main influence in the beginning. And she was ripping! She is a professional Judoka now and a really good one.
3. Riding with headphones – love it or hate it? Why?
I think I would just ride with headphones if I were riding all by myself, so actually that never happens.
4. What’s the next big thing after Double Cork 1080ies?
Jumping over the Eiffel Tower? I don’t know, but yeah it will get crazier for sure and more dangerous too I guess.
5. What does creativity regarding snowboarding mean to you?
Creativity in snowboarding means the freedom of where you ride and what trick you wanna do and how you do it. Also the individual style is creativity.
6. What do you miss the most when being on the road for a while?
I miss my boyfriend, friends, family, sleeping in my bed and dark bread from Austria.
7. How to you relax and refuel yourself after a long day of riding?
A good meal is pretty important to get your energy back, a hot shower and some stretching, reading and spending time with my family and friends is great for refueling.
8. Name your personal top three
a. Backcountry spots: Arlberg, Mt. Baker (Washington), Selkirk (interior BC)
b. Snow parks: Hintertux, June Mountain, Keystone
c. Snowboard contests: that’s a hard question; it is not that easy to make a nice relaxed contest. I like jam sessions more. The Roxy Chicken Jam is quite cool and I really enjoy being on the Snowboarder Ms. Superpark , which is not a contest, but they build a cool set up just for the girls and invite photographers and filmers and many girls.
9. Describe your “best” and “worst” day in your life.
Well that is not easy to say, but for sure I had really sad days and really good ones. But wouldn’t it be amazing to have the best day of your life on your last?
10. Season is off…what are you up to?
